Gravel Driveway Installation
Affordable, well-graded gravel driveways built to drain and hold up on rural and long-run lots.
A rutted, muddy gravel drive that washes out every rain is a daily headache. GM Tile Designs installs gravel driveways in Tomball, TX that are graded to drain, built on a stable base, and bordered to stay put. Skilled craftsmen are on every job, and you get a written estimate before we start.
What's Included
Graded to drain
We shape the surface so water runs off instead of pooling and rutting. Proper grade is what keeps a gravel drive from washing out.
Stable, compacted base
A compacted sub-base under the gravel keeps the surface firm so it does not sink into the clay or turn to mud after a storm.
The right stone, set right
We use a well-sized aggregate and the right depth so the drive packs down firm, sheds water, and stays drivable year round.
Skilled craftsmen, written estimate
Skilled craftsmen on site, fully insured, with a clear scope and price range in writing before we move a load of stone.
When a gravel driveway is the right call
Not every property needs poured concrete. For long runs, rural lots, and acreage around Tomball and the wider area, a gravel driveway gives you a solid, drivable surface for a fraction of the cost of concrete or asphalt, and you can extend or refresh it easily down the road. It is the most budget-friendly option in our concrete and driveway lineup, and on the right lot it makes the most sense.
The difference between a gravel drive that lasts and one that washes out is the grade and the base. A drive that just has stone dumped on bare dirt ruts, sinks into the clay, and turns to mud after the first hard Texas rain. We build it to drain. Our crew shapes a stable, compacted sub-base, sets the grade so water runs off to the sides, and lays a well-sized aggregate at the right depth so the surface packs down firm and sheds water. Where it helps, we add borders to keep the stone where it belongs.
To be clear about scope, we install the driveway surface itself, the base and grading for the drive, the stone, and the finished grade. We are a remodeling and general contractor focused on the driveway result, not a site-clearing outfit.
The GM Tile Designs gravel process
You call and reach the family that stands behind the work. We come look at the lot, check how water moves across it, and talk through depth, stone type, and borders. You get a written estimate with the full scope and a clear price range, so there are no surprises when the trucks show up.
From there we prep and compact the sub-base, set the grade for drainage, and lay and compact the aggregate so the drive is firm and even. We keep the site clean and protect what is around it the whole time. Gravel goes in fast compared with concrete, so most drives are ready to use quickly, and we give you the timeline up front.
Uriel Gutierrez leads every job, backed by their father and founder Ulises's decades in the trade, and we are fully insured, so we treat your lot like it is our own. If you want a paved surface instead, compare a poured concrete driveway or a smooth asphalt driveway. We work across Tomball, The Woodlands, and the surrounding area with one crew and one written estimate.
