We pour for the ground we actually have. Every job starts with a compacted, well-graded base so water drains away from the slab instead of pooling under it. We form clean edges, pour at the right thickness for the load, place control joints where the concrete wants to move, and finish and cure it so the surface stays tight. That order of operations is the difference between a driveway that lasts and one you patch every spring.
